A beautiful, autumn Sunday morning in Fethiye. Perfect conditions for the second Race for Life – Turkey, an event to raise money for cancer research and equipment in the local area.
The entrants gathered at Beşkaza, the town square, to take part in the event which was due to start at 10am. People were still registering to take part right up to the starting time.

Around 400 people, including 70 people from Dalyan, turned up to Run IT, Walk IT, Beat IT; men, women, children, Turkish people, British people and wheelchair entrants all united in the fight against cancer.
Some of the entrants had either just completed or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. The support shown for them was absolutely fantastic.

10am arrived and it was time to get started.
