“It’s amazing to think that 5 years ago Chris started this, the first ever Race for Life in Turkey with just a group of friends who ran a course that started from outside our house” – George Rimmer
“This first started with me and my gorgeous daughter in law Dawn – we had a bit of banter about who could achieve a better time as she was running 5 Km Race for Life in the UK – she won! But this was the inspiration for Turkey’s very first Race for Life – so not only can George and I take some credit for this achievement, but I have to also thank Dawn – together we have started such ‘a winning team’” – Chris Rimmer
Little did they know what they had started…
Fethiye runs, jogs and walks for life
More than 300 people turned out on Sunday to run, jog or walk in the biggest single fundraising event Fethiye has seen so far.
Now in it’s fourth year, Yaşam İçim Yarış has become an annual event in Fethiye and goes from strength to strength.
The Yaşam İçin Yarış team have a lot to share with you however, first up are the photographs taken by official Yaşam İçin Yarış photographers, Natalia Alpatova and Norman Clark. They captured the day to perfection.
There are far too many fabulous photos to choose from so here is a selection. Please visit Fethiye Times Facebook for the full albums.

Glamour Girls
Joining the race this year were Clark and Jay (aka Glamour Girls, Miss BeeHave and Joanna play) along with the Manager of Glamour Hisarönü, Lisa Köse. On September 26th, Glamour held a fundraising evening which raised an outstanding 14,200 TL for Yaşam İçin Yarış.

HOPE
The HOPE cancer support group was newly formed in February this year and are now part of Yaşam İçin Yarış.
