Cancer – we’re coming to get you!
It’s a great event, full of atmosphere and fun, but let’s not forget why we’re doing it.
Turkey has a population of 78.6 million citizens and every year 0.23% of the total population people will be diagnosed with cancer.
Approximately 400 of those people will live in Fethiye – these people may feel fit and healthy today but will have been diagnosed with one of the 200 types of cancer by this time next year.
Where will the money go?
All money raised will go towards diagnosis, treatment and awareness of cancer in Fethiye and the local area. The committee are currently looking into various options and will make a decision as to where the money will be spent. As soon as we know, you’ll know…
See you on Sunday…
