World Ocean’s Day – “no water, no life, no blue, no green” – Sylvia Earle
If we don’t act now, by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
Buzz Beach Bar – actively working to clean our coast and ocean
Ölüdeniz is billed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The most-photographed beach in Turkey, it glimmers blue against a pristine curve of white sand.
It is also a national marine sanctuary and also provides some first class diving, with fascinating caves and an abundance of marine life. The clear azure waters provide near limitless visibility.
Sadly, we are facing a serious and growing problem of plastic and rubbish polluting our coast and ocean, causing harm to marine life.
Buzz Beach Bar is doing their bit to help…
Clean Up Days – reducing our environmental footprint
Every Sunday Buzz Beach Bar will be holding a Weekly Clean Up Day around the bays of Ölüdeniz and Fethiye.
They will choose a certain beach or bay for the day and clean up as much as possible of what there is above or under water, at the beach or at the bay. The rubbish collected will then be deposited at the recycling points.
The Buzz Bar Speed Boat, Bigger Game (with a capacity of 6 passengers) and Catamaran, Ecclesia (with a capacity of 10 passengers), will leave Ölüdeniz Beach at 13:00 and return by 16:00.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided
The meeting point each Sunday is at Buzz Beach Bar in Ölüdeniz at 12:30.
