Ozlem Warren, International cookery teacher and the author of Ozlem’s Turkish Table cookery book, is delighted to be visiting Guru’s Place Cookery School in Kalkan, on Thursday, October 3rd, to co-teach two hands-on cookery classes with Hüseyin Kayır, owner of Guru’s Place Cookery School.
We will shop for the ingredients at the local markets in Kalkan (in the morning session) before cooking these delicious recipes together.
Afterwards, we will all sit down and enjoy our cooking, with a glass of wine. Ozlem will be teaching southern Turkish specialties from her cookery book.
Cookery class details
Morning Session: Thursday, October 3rd; 9.45am – 2 pm
Afternoon Session: Thursday, October 3rd; 5pm – 8pm
Participation is limited to max 10 people for each class.
Muhammara – walnuts and red pepper paste dip
Patlıcanlı Mercimekli Mualla – Aubergines, lentils and peppers cooked in olive oil
Peynirli Sebzeli Pide – oval flat breads with cheese, peppers and spinach.
Kuru Kayısı Tatlısı – baked dried apricots with walnuts
Cost per person: 45 GBP (Glass of wine, recipe packs and ingredients included in the price.) Deposit payment of 20 GBP is requested on booking.
Signed copies of Ozlem’s Turkish Table cookery book will be available during the class (cost per book is 25 GBP).
