There was a very festive feel to Fethiye harbour on Sunday when the Fethiye Christmas Santa Bikers took to their cycles for the fourth annual Christmas Santa bike ride.
Anyone is welcome to dress up in their best festive outfits, trim up their bikes and take to the streets for a seasonal winter fun ride to celebrate the Christmas spirit .
Over 30 Santas, Elves and seasonal characters cycled from the Reis Cafe in Akarca, through Şehit Fethi Bey Parkı to the the town square in Fethiye* and, with the emphasis being on having fun, handed out sweets along the way spreading joy and festive spirit and providing enjoyment for local people who stopped to take videos and photos. Even Fethiye Mayor, Behçet Saatcı joined the group for a photo at the start point.
The bikers stopped at Fethiye Town Square for photographs before cycling along the harbour to the marina and back to Address Restaurant for refreshments.
Time to head off to the Address Restaurant for refreshments.
Thank you to Mick Scarsbrook for this video clip.
Enjoying refreshments and merriment at the Address Restaurant before cycling back to Çalış for a well deserved Sunday lunch.
Merry Christmas everyone!

*It is worth mentioning that the cyclists did not use the cycle lane in the new park as it was deemed to be too dangerous. Last week, in just two days, three people fell on the lane resulting in a broken leg and two broken arms as it is very slippery when the surface is wet.
