Fethiye is located in south west Turkey and nestles between green forests, high mountains and the turquoise sea of the Mediterranean.

The world renowned beach at Oludeniz is some 16km away.

The town is a centre for local administration and has a stated population of 66,000 but this swells significantly in the summer months as tourists flock to sample its delights.

The town has a large yacht marina, regular hydrofoil services to Rhodes in the summer season and regular bus services to all major towns and cities within Turkey.

The international airport at Dalaman is some 45 minutes travel time by car.

The nearby resorts of Hisaronu and Oludeniz are very popular with Turkish and foreign tourists.

The main outputs of the local economy are agriculture (citrus fruits, tomatoes and some fishing) and tourism.
