It’s time to start having a clear out and sorting out your unwanted items as the popular Çalış Car Boot Sales are back again!

The monthly Sunday car boot sales organised by the Çalış Children’s charity started last month when over 80 stalls set up.

The next sale is on Sunday 23 October 2011.

Now in their 5th year the sales are famous throughout the area, attracting buyers and sellers from as far away as Marmaris, Kas and Kalkan.

The sales are held in the car park next to the Bahar Hotel on Çalış seafront and this year the sales will soon be expanding to take in the land opposite the car park.

Not only are the sales a hunting ground for bargains and a great social event but they are also a great way of fundraising with many local charities taking stalls to raise money for their good causes.

The organisers, the Çalış Children’s Charity better known as the 3C’s, raises money to fund projects for local children from the sales of donated items on their committee stall and also from the stall fees (net of the cost of table hire).

If anyone has any unwanted items to dispose of but does not wish to have a stall the 3C’s would be very happy to take these off your hands and can collect them if required. Please ring 0536 373 9520.

Dates

Sale dates for the winter season have now been agreed with Fethiye Belediye and the Çalış Association so make a note of these in your diary.
