Thanks to success of Car Boot Sales in ơlış and Hisarönü, Fethiye is now branding itself as Turkey’s leader in the context of selling second hand goods. 

And to support this claim a new 2nd hand sale has started in the covered fruit and vegetable area of the Tuesday Market Place. 

There will now be a second hand market in there on the first Wednesday of each month. 

They are charging 10TL for a pitch on the fixed stalls, your space will be 3m long.  Only second hand goods are allowed – so no craftworkers, cake makers and the like. 

The first sale took place on Wednesday 1st July starting at 2pm and was successful – apparently stalls stayed open until 8pm. 

The next sale will be on Wednesday 5th August and if you want to book a stall pop into the Belediye (on top of Carrefour’s downtown branch) and speak to Halime Ok who runs the Zabita section. She speaks English.
