Dalaman Airport International Airport, now eight years old, is under new management and parts of the award winning building are enjoying a makeover.
Under New Management
From 1st August this year the airport has been renamed YDA Dalaman Airport following the award of the 705 million Euro 26 year contract to the company.
More details can be found in our article Dalaman Airport Operator Announced.
The new management has recently embarked on a programme to provide more comfort and better services for passengers that has in the past been described by some passengers as lacking in adequate seating, light and ventilation.
It has taken a month to give the international terminal a makeover and the new CIP (VIP) Lounge is now ready for passengers to enjoy its premium privileges
All the architectural details of the lounge have been designed to provide a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for the fee paying passengers while they wait for their international flights.
With its natural timber decoration, plants and special lighting, the CIP Lounge is equipped with Wi-Fi and a library, together with food and beverage facilities.
Food and Drink Prices
But regular travellers through the gateway to Turkey’s sunshine coast will be watching the cost of the concessions within the terminal with more interest.
Dalaman Airport has been criticised for its expensive food and drink prices since the new terminal opened eight years ago.
Our survey Dalaman Airport Food and Drink Prices article published in July received a number of interesting comments including how users of the airport could avoid being charged over the odds.
