If you own a flat, a property on a complex or co-op or have any other shared responsibility for property or common areas then you need to be aware of changes to the law governing this area.

The new law brings some significant changes to the flat ownership system. The law has been accepted by Parliament and will come into effect after it is published in the Official Gazette.

It may be a good idea for ‘the director’ to call a special meeting when the law is published to ensure all owners are aware of their new responsibilities.
