Post Delivery
The national government postal service is called the PTT. They receive and deliver post and despatch mail to elsewhere.
The PTT will deliver post to registered properties and businesses only. All other post must be deposited in Post Office boxes or delivered to a local hub such as the local shop in villages for collection.
To register a new property to receive post or in a Post Office box apply at the PTT (See here for rental of a Post Box.)
Delivery to properties is regular and carried out by post men and women on bikes. scooters, motor bikes and cars/vans.
It takes approximately 2 weeks for letters to arrive from UK to Fethiye. However, the editor has received letters up to 2 months later than the original UK post mark!
Parcels over certain values must have a customs declaration and may be held by the PTT until duty has been paid.
