An unusual autumn heatwave that has seen temperatures over the last few days reach over 30 degrees centigrade could end abruptly this Sunday afternoon.

A low pressure will move over the area from the south east later in the day bringing with it heavy rain and cooler temperatures.

On Monday rain and cloud will continue to pass over the area and the day time high is expected to be around 17 degrees centigrade. That will come as a shock to the system for many when last week temperatures were over 30 degrees centigrade.

The wet weather is forecast to be around for most of the week so it could be a damp time for the public and religious Kurban Bayram holiday.

So its time to pack up those summer clothes and wrap up for autumn.
