Strong winds are expected to hit the south west coast of Turkey on Monday with winds gusting up to 50 knots.

A weather front bringing strong south easterly winds is forecast to hit the south west of Turkey early on Monday morning and continue throughout the day.

Little or no rain is forecast but the skies will be cloudy.

If you are planning to cross over to the Greek island of Meis on Monday check with your ferry operator to see if sailings will be taking place as they sometimes don't when the weather is bad.

Meanwhile make sure you tie down or store any loose items of outdoor furniture and be careful if driving around on Monday for blown debris.
