Jenny Daly from local charity Animal Aid writes about another great fun(d) raising event to raise money for the needy animals in the area.

The Animal Aid Team were supported by 90 groovers and hippy chicks twisting the night away into the midnight hour.

The dance floor was heaving from the start until very late and we had fun fun fun!! Lots of people will hear about this through the grapevine.

It was a crazy night with many new faces who enjoyed their first Animal Aid event.

For the second time we welcomed a mixed group of foreign students who are attending the IM Academy in Hisaronu.

One of the students ‘Biggie’ otherwise known as Houssein Elashhab brought the house down by singing The Gambler.

This was then followed with an original dance routine choreographed by Stevi Jones to James Brown ‘ I feel good ‘.

The four guys who performed this excelled themselves and received a rapturous applause.

Thank you guys – Houssein Elashhab, Mohamed Suliman, Abdulah Alkhadrow and Muhamed Elahmad – you really entertained us!!

Many of the party goers wore 60’s gear and incorporated the dance routines we are all familiar with….do you remember Mashed Potato, The Twist, The Snake and The Hitchhike??

To name just a few. The good vibrations continued from DJ Rimms until late, wouldn’t it be nice to do it again?

Thank you to George and Christine for supporting our charity.

The Ceren Hotel provided excellent food and venue. A thank you to Orhan and his staff for their hard work and delivering a great night.

3 Hippy's Mike Daly, Martin Palmer & Mark Handley

Animal Aid were so pleased to see three very special ladies at our event.

Without their hard work and commitment to Animal Aid we would be unable to function as well as we do.

Thank you to Perihan Agnelli, Dilik Dincer and Kadriye Cayci (pictured below).

How many song references have you spotted in this article?? You should have found at least 10.

Look out for details on our forthcoming event on Tuesday 1st April.
