The 3C’s are holding an Autumn Coffee Morning, Bring and Buy Sale and Fashion Show this Thursday, October 10 – and it should be a really great day – and even better it’s free!

The seasonal event take places at the Ceren Hotel on Çalış promenade, from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm.

The Big 3

There will be lots of lovely things to buy at the sale including jewelery, giftware, craft items and lots of hand knitted children’s jumpers as well as a tombola and a raffle.

There will also be lots of home-made cakes, biscuits sausage rolls and other edible goodies on sale, either to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee or to take away.

As with any bring and buy sale, the 3C’s are hoping that some of those who attend will kindly bake a cake or bring an unwanted gift or item to donate to the stalls and swell the items on sale.

Throughout the day, tarot card reader Jan Jeffrey who has recently moved to the Fethiye area from Marmaris will be consulting her cards to see what the future holds, with all reading fees being donated to the 3C’s.

Special Performance

In the morning there will be a performance from the Côr Merched Cantabile Welsh Ladies Choir from Anglesey in North Wales.

This is the ladies choir that appeared at the Çalış Carnival concert three years ago. The choir ladies are out in Çalış on holiday and have kindly volunteered to perform at the event for free.

Their wide-ranging repertoire comprises both serious and light-hearted music in many languages, including, of course, Welsh. They will also be playing the hand bells which they have recently taken up.

At 12.30 the charity will be staging their second 3C’s Charity Shop Fashion Show featuring their new Autumn/Winter season collection of quality clothes and accessories. As well as casual wear and smart day wear there will be lots of designer evening wear for the coming festive season.

Compared by fashion guru “Gok Wan Rimms”, committee members, volunteers and friends will be “strutting their stuff” on the catwalk in some great outfits – something not to be missed! All of the garments modeled will be on sale at the 3C’s charity shop.

The finale of the day will be when 3C’s committee member Graham Whitaker “grins and bares it” when he is publicly waxed to raise money for the charity.

If anyone wants to sponsor brave Graham in his painful ordeal please ring 0536 373 9520 or pop into the 3C’s charity shop at the Eyna restaurant in Çalış where a sponsor form is available.

The 3C’s charity hopes to see as many of you there as possible.

All of the money raised from the event will go towards funding worthwhile projects for children in the Fethiye/ Çalış area.
