Over 200 people chilled out in Çalış, Fethiye last week when the 3C’s held their charity bbq and beach party at Guvens Restaurant.

The event which was the Çalış Children’s Charity’s contribution to the FETAV Fest week of activities was an enormous success.

With entertainment as varied as reggae and Caribbean sounds from local musician Bert of Calypso Bar in Hisaronu, opera from UK opera singer Tony St. John who performed his “Pavarotti” tribute act and music from songbird Shelley and DJ Gordon to traditional folklore dancing, a fire dancer and belly dancer, there was something to suit everyone’s tastes.

Add to that a delicious BBQ provided by Guven’s and a finale of fireworks – the event was a huge success which helped to raise 1,600 TL for the charity which helps to fund projects for local children.

“We would like to thank everyone who supported the event, the artists who performed for free and a huge thanks to Carole and Guven, our hosts for the evening who also donated 5TL from each meal to our charity” said Peter Clark, Chairman of the 3C’s.
