Animal Aid recently carried out a survey to find out what people understood about the services Animal Aid provides. We are pleased to report that in most areas our message is getting through.
90% of those that took part were fully aware of the ‘Neuter and Return Programme’.
90% also knew we rescue and provide veterinary care for sick and injured street animals.
There is only one area we have not made clear – which is to state that we do not have any day to day involvement in the management of the shelter at Çatalarık.
We provide food and medicines to the shelter on a regular basis, and provide funds for any small projects to improve the welfare of the animals there.
During the survey we also asked if anyone would consider being a volunteer. We had a very good response from this and they have already helped at an event recently.
However, we are always looking for new volunteers that can assist Animal Aid in the many areas of running such a charity.
Statistics of those interviewed
- 62% owned animals
- 71% feed street animals
- 37% have used the services of AA
- 70% are aware AA provide food/medicines to the shelter
- 58% are aware we help fund improvements at the shelter
- 40% of those interviewed offered to be a volunteer
Finally AA would like to thank all those that took part in our survey, if you would like to become a volunteer please contact us on 0535 064 1417, firstname.lastname@example.org or Facebook animalaidfethiye
