The Turkish Meteorology Service has released a weather warning for this evening and the early hours of tomorrow morning for the area including Fethiye.

Heavy rains and strong winds are expected to sweep the Mugla coastal areas including Fethiye, Dalaman, Ortaca, Koycegiz, Maramaris, Bodrum and into Mersin.

The warning also says that the heavy rain could cause sudden and dangerous flooding and warns citizens to be prepared.

Widespread flooding occurred last weekend in the Koycegiz area when heavy rain lashed the area.
