Christmas Eve carols in Hisarönü Market Place has now become an established part of the festive season and this year was no exception.

Despite unprecedented numbers of the expat community either going back to the UK or relocated to the seasonal delights of all-inclusive hotels in Lara Beach Antalya, a good crowd still turned out to welcome Christmas with a traditional event.

They enjoyed a lovely hour or so of singing carols, eating mince pies and cheese scones and drinking mulled wine.

And a treat this year were a group of children who even sang the odd verse alone – lovely to hear clear children's voices at Christmas.

And we have to show you one of the two dogs whose owners had kindly decorated them for the event. They didn't sing but were otherwise very well-behaved.
