Boxing Day “Big Splash”

If you are looking for something different to do this Christmas why not pop down to Çalış seafront on Boxing Day to watch the annual Sponsored fancy dress “Big Splash".

And for the more daring of you who want to do something different following the excesses of Christmas Day, there is still a chance for you to join in.

The wacky annual event organized by Çalış Children’s Charity takes place this year on December 26 on the beach opposite the Nil restaurant.

Assembly will be from 12.00 noon and the Big Splash will take place at 1.00.

The Nil will be providing free hot soup for the “splashers”. The 3C’s hope that the brave "splashers" will seek sponsorship and wear fancy dress for the event - the wackier the better! (although this is optional it makes great fun for the spectators!).

Last years “Splash” was an enormous success and helped to raise a lot of money for the children’s charity.

It is hoped that there will be even more “splashers” this year so now is the time to start thinking of your costumes.

There will be a prize for the best costume.

Sponsorship forms are now available to pick up from the Nil Bar or you can ring 0536 3739520 - and please remember this event is open to everyone whether you live in Çalış, Fethiye, Uzumlu, Hisaronu or even if you are over here on holiday, so get “splashing”!
