Our friends the Ölüdeniz Yarenler recently performed in Cappadocia for a gathering of mayors from various parts of the country.

Whilst that may have been a somewhat dry event, lots of speeches and precious little levity, their performance was well appreciated.

As a reward they were taken up in a hot air balloon.

Of course they had to wear their costumes for the trip, but we bet many tourists were eager to take photos.

Above we see them coming in to land and, once safely out of the basket, enjoying the traditional post-flight glass of sparkling wine.

Given the flights take off around dawn we think they look remarkably happy.
