An exhibition organised in coordination with Liverpool University, FETAV and Photo Kandiye will display some unique photos of Turkey at the start of the 20th Century and will be well worth a visit.

Entitled ‘An English Archaeologist in Turkey’, the exhibition will include prints of 50 photographs of Turkey taken by Garstang in 1907-8.
In addition photos of Fethiye from the same period will be displayed too.
The exhibition will run from 11th to 17th July.
Entry is FREE.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place at 17:00 on Monday 11 July 2011 at the Cultural Centre.
This is part of the ‘Lost Gallery’ an Archive and Research project originated by the University of Liverpool.
The Archive project is using the digital photographic technology to digitise John Garstang’s original glass negatives, held by The Garstang Museum of Archaeology, to reveal images of archaeologists at work in the Near East, many of which have not been seen for nearly a century.
