Remember the donkey wedding last summer when Linda and Duman, two donkeys, were married?

If not then you can read the story here  – The Marriage of Donkeys – A First for Turkey?

Well on Sunday 15th May Linda gave birth to a gorgeous female who is called Bahar – Turkish for ‘spring’.

We went to visit the mother and baby when little Bahar was exactly one week old and, as you can see, already happily trotting about and making friends with visitors.

You can see mother and daughter at the Yörük Museum in Kargı village and have one of their excellent breakfasts while you are there. The meal includes so many dishes the table can barely cope!

Meanwhile the lovely Bahar was soon scuttling back to mother for her own breakfast.
