The Festival starts Monday 2nd May and continues to the evening of Thursday 6th and Louis de Bernieres is taking part.

This is very much a Turkish event with an emphasis on the involvement of local school children.

However, this year Louis de Bernieres is taking part, so there will obviously be English spoken by at least one participant.

At 10.00am on Monday Louis de Bernieres will take part in a discussion of his book ‘Birds Without Wings’ at the Cultural Centre.

This event is aimed at school children but, if you want an autograph, you could easily sneak in at the back. Or take your book to be signed at one his other appearances – details below.

Also on Monday at 8.30pm, Mr de Bernieres will take part in another discussion of his book with certain extracts being acted.

This takes place in the amphitheatre in Fethiye and there will also be live music at the event.

On Tuesday at 8pm Louis de Bernieres will be in the square in Kayaköy for yet another discussion of his book ‘Birds Without Wings’.

All of the above events are free.
