Joan Law, a resident of Ovacik for over 15 years passed away in the home she loved on Wednesday morning surrounded by her family.

Joan leaves behind, her much loved husband Barry, five daughters, two sons, twenty three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Joan and Barry have been a popular and respected couple, settling and making the Ovacik Village and community their home for more than a decade.

Many members of her large family were able to make the trip from the UK to visit her before she passed away so she was surrounded with love.

Joan, mother and stepmother to eleven children, was an avid gardener member of the gardening club and loved the time she spent here with her family, in her garden, and ‘living the dream’ in Turkey.

She was also a huge support to her daughter Kathy who runs successful businesses in Hisaronu.

Joan had a very generous spirit, loving her home full of family and friends. She was a supportive and a special friend to all that knew her.

We will all miss her wit and humour and her presence in our daily lives, and wish the family our sincerest warm condolences at this very sad time.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday 27th April at 10:00 am at the Ovacik Mezarlık (petrol station).
