Many readers will have known Tony who moved from the UK to Ovacık in 2006 to enjoy an early retirement with his wife Linda.

Sadly Tony died in the UK on 3rd December and his funeral was arranged for the 16th.

But what of all his friends out here? An ingenious solution was found. At the same time as Tony’s actual funeral took place at a crematorium in the Midlands, the identical service was conducted by David Groom in the Kumsal Restaurant in Ölüdeniz near Fethiye south west Turkey.
