A British couple taking a transfer between Antalya and Fethiye were involved in a serious traffic collison last Monday near Kemer and one of them died later in hospital. 

The two car collision occurred in Çobanlar village on the main Antalya Road near to Kemer, Fethiye.

One was a hire car from Antalya, in which the driver was transferring a British couple, Hilary and Steve Funnell, to Fethiye.

All three of them were injured in the crash and Steve later died in the State Hospital in Fethiye.

Of the four people in the other car, all Turks, three died – the driver and his elderly parents – and the fourth was injured.

Police investigations into the accident are continuing.
