Barbara’s garden was the only one open to feature a lawn, which is maintained for the sake of her dog.

But the feature that everyone commented on in Barbara’s garden was the succulent growing up the trunk of the palm tree which you can see in the above photo.

Apparently this is an easy effect to achieve: plant small pieces of the succulent at the base of the tree and, as it grows, simply loop it over the natural ‘hooks’ that are created where dead palm fronds have been removed.

The succulent Barbara used has a small, red, daisy-like flower and it must look amazing when it blooms.
