The new terminal at Dalaman Airport opened last week but delays and fundamental design problems are still apparent as one of our readers reports.

Manchester flight 1635 Friday 7 July

Arrived at the old airport looking forward from leaving via new airport, what a disappointment.

Arrived 1400 hrs received boarding cards at 1545 and the flight was been called to the gate and there were still people behind us.

Staff not familiar with computer system were taking 8 minutes to check in some individuals,

Poor ventilation, very few seats for elderly or infirm to sit at whilst queuing for check in.

This just seems a newer version of the old problems.This airport will be a deterrent to tourists not an asset if they don’t consider the points raised.

As a home owner and frequent flier I was eagerly awaiting the improvements the new airport was to bring , how wrong can you be?
