A few ago we wrote about the Mayor of Fethiye's attempt to get into the Guinness Book of Records by having 100,000 people in the Tuesday Market Place on Saturday night to sing the Turkish National Anthem.  Whilst Fethiye Times doubts that many people can actually fit in the space, we can inform you that the record attempt is scheduled for 20.20 and will be followed by a ten-minute celebratory firework display - that's a lot of fireworks.

So please try to turn up and do your bit for Fethiye - even if you only mime - and fethiye Times will be there to report on the results.
