Bad weather is forecast for the Aegean area today.
A gale or severe gale with wind speeds of between 40 and 50 knots complete with heavy rain is forecast to hit the Western Turkish Coast today between Midday and 18:00 local time. A huge area from the Bodrum Peninsula to beyond Cannakale will bear the brunt of the gales. In-land areas will also be affected as the weather system moves North East.
If the forecast is correct Fethiye should miss the worst of the weather but wind and rain are still forecast for the same period today.
