Do you remember our warning of bad weather and reports that a mini tornado had hit the area around Kalkan on Wednesday? Fethiye Times reader John Fedorowycz of Kiziltas, Kalkan was on the scene and took some great photos of this amazing but damaging weather phenomenon. As you can see from the photos the tornado started out at sea before moving over the land, luckily away from where John was taking the photos.

As we reported on Wednesday some properties were damaged and a lorry and car were turned over. John’s photo shows damage to a roof in the village of Kalamar Bay, Kalkan.
