Rain is due to arrive in South West Turkey later this afternoon and it will continue throughout the weekend and into Monday.
The good news is that cold snap should end for us with the winds moving to the South West raising temperatures to around 14 degrees during the day.
Higher areas will see significant snow fall so if you plan to travel on the high roads be prepared for snow blocked roads and icy conditions.
Luckily most of the worst of the weather is forecast to pass away from us with the areas from Izmir north bearing the brunt of the weather front.
