Rain, Rain Go Away

The weekend saw more significant volumes of rain fall on the Fethiye area.

The heaviest rain fell around 10pm on Sunday night when a thunderstorm raged overhead.

The wet weather continued into Monday with more thunderstorms and torrential rain passing over the area.

There was a brief spell of sun in the afternoon though that created a wonderful rainbow over the bay.

One Day of Sun

There is some cheer on the horizon with the weather forecast is saying that today will be sunny and clear all day.

But, this clear spell will only provide a brief respite as more rain is due to arrive on Wednesday and continue through until Friday.

January Unsettled

This January has seen some of the most unsettled weather that many have experienced in the area.

Fears are now growing that with the ground already saturated with water that any more rain will result in more flooding and on higher ground that the excessive snow fall could lead to serious avalanches.
