On Saturday 25th February a huge crowd gathered to celebrate the third birthday of the Cultural Centre. Of course there was a cake - table sized.

The event started at 2pm with a procession to the Ataturk Memorial where a wreath was laid then it was back to the Centre for folk dancing from the local junior national champions and an exhbition of handicrafts produced at the Centre over the past year. Cake was dispensed to all who had the patience to queue for a piece.

There is no doubt that the success of the Centre is due to its energetic Director, Muammer Sahin, who also finds time to teach Turkish classes in the winter. Well done Muammer, keep up the good work.
