On Sunday 20 August at 05.00 a lorry, said to have been driven too fast, turned over on the road to Oludeniz outside the Paradise Gardens Hotel - and life stopped in the area for the next six hours. 

The lorry was transporting bee hives full of bees and it took six hours to sort out the mess, including killing some of the bees with chemical sprays, many escaped.
