Remember our story a couple of weeks ago about the ‘progress’ on the Seki ski resort?  In it we said the government had committed 0.5 million YTL to complete the ski lift (foundations laid 9 years ago) and it wasn’t enough.

Well the government, which in this context is the provincial governor in Muğla, has now officially announced that Fethiye’s Tourism Budget for 2008 will be 1.8 million YTL, of which 1 million is to be shared equally between the ski lift and the new cable car for Babadağ.

We say don’t expect to take a ride up either mountain in the near future.
