Floating Palace in Gocek

If you want to see how the super rich spend their holidays pop down to Gocek and marvel at the super luxury yacht MY Leander.

The sleek royal blue ship is moored near to the Skope marina and dominates the sky line of the playground of the rich that is Gocek, a small village around 20 minutes from Fethiye.

At a charter rate of around £280,000 per week only the super rich can afford this wonderful luxury yacht.

But what a yacht! She boasts:

 - Two master suite cabins with office/study and forward-facing saloon

 - Three double guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms

 - Five twin guest cabins with bathrooms

 - Jacuzzi, observation, and helicopter decks, fitness room, dive room and swim platform

 - Twenty-four crew, including two chefs

The British Royal Family, now devoid of the Royal Yacht Britannia, has chartered this yacht. The last to use it was the Prince of Wales in March this year.

The yacht is owned by ex Royal Naval Officer and former National Car Parks owner Sir Donald Gosling who, it is rumoured, offers it to the Royals at a ‘discount’.

With a range of around 8,500 nautical miles she can also avoid filling up with diesel at the extortionate Turkish fuel prices which no doubt helps to cushion the blow of the Royal ‘Indirim’ (Turkish for Discount).
