Commandoes embarked on a search of the route taken by missing walker John Kirkham yesterday but failed to locate any further clues.

British citizen John Walker was reported missing a week last last Monday when he failed to return from a solo walk along the famous Lycian Way.

Local security services had been out in force since Tuesday last week to try to locate the whereabouts of the missing 68 year old man from Fleetwood, Lancashire.

But despite using teams from the security forces, locals, a tracking dog and a microlight they have been unable to locate him.

Yesterday a specialist team of commandoes from the Jandarma embarked on a detailed search of the Kozağa埡rea where Mr Kirham was last seen passing through.

Unfortunately the team could not find any trace or track of Mr Kirkham in the area.
