3,500 people gather for İftar meal in Fethiye
3,500 people attended the İftar meal in Fethiye on Wednesday evening to celebrate Kadir Gecesi.
The meal, which was held in front of Reis cafe, was attended by Mayor Behçet Saatçı who was accompanied by his wife, two sons and Municipality staff.
After İftar dinner, a theatrical play called ‘Survivor Fethiye’ was performed by Fethiye Municipality Theater Team.
Police teams welcome Bayram holidaymakers with candy, flowers and a warning to drive safely
Last week police teams in Fethiye were carrying out a series of checks on motorcycles and handing out fines. This week they took a more proactive approach and welcomed holiday makers to the area for the Bayram holiday with gifts of candy, flowers and cologne. They also warned drivers to drive carefully, keep within the speed limits, follow the traffic rules and wear seatbelts at all times.
Five people injured when 16 year old crashes a car into a garden wall.
The driver and four children were injured when a 16 year old lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into the garden wall of a house in the Taşyaka area of Fethiye on Thursday.
The driver and four others aged 17, 14, 12 and 12 were treated in ambulances and local hospitals. Their injuries were not serious.
The driver claimed to have lost control of the steering which caused him to crash into the garden wall. The accident is under investigation.
Two seriously injured as microlite crashes in Ovacık
A microlite crashed in Ovacik on Thursday evening injuring a 46 year old holiday maker and his Russian pilot. The pilot, Gustave Vanvurren said that shortly after take off he heard a crack from the engine and lost all power. As he tried to return to the airfield he lost control of the microlite and crash landed in a field 100 meters below.
Both the pilot and passenger were taken to hospital where their condition remains serious.

The week before it was selling for 4.47TL.
