A spell of wet and windy weather is forecast to sweep over the Turkish south west resorts of Fethiye, Marmaris and Bodrum over the next few days.
Readers living in the area will probably have woken up to the pitter patter of rain drops and maybe a few claps of thunder too this morning; a rare sight and sound after the weeks of fine weather we have been experiencing.
The thunder should clear but rain will continue from time to time through Thirsday and Friday.
A storm is forecast to sweep through on Saturday morning with torrential rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind.
The wet weather is then forecast to continue through Monday with clear and sunny weather returning on Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to only reach a high of 14 degrees on Tuesday around 10 degrees lower than of late.
Turkish Weather Calendar
The Turkish weather calendar was used as a method of forecasting weather long before we had sophisticated computers to model weather patterns and provide predictions.
That calendar predicts a storm on the 28 November, just as we are expecting!
