Well not the man himself but the subject of his most famous poem ‘Daffodils’.

There they are ‘fluttering and dancing in the breeze’ and providing a welcome cheer up note to the cold weather that has prevailed lately in Fethiye.

Unfortunately they aren’t ‘beside the lake, beneath the trees’ but planted in the centre of the road.

And the tulip-shaped sign in the background is announcing the Council’s planting of thousands of tulip bulbs around the town to follow on from the daffs.

In fact some of the tulips are already in bloom.

So if you want cheering up in this cold time of the year then make sure you pop down to Çalış and enjoy the colourful planting.
