Pick Up a Ramazan Calendar
The first full day of Ramazan was yesterday. You can keep track of the daily prayers and learn a lot about Ramazan if you pick up one of the free calendars.

Ours came from one of the shops in our village and they are everywhere, so just help yourself.
They give you times for the calls to prayer throughout the holy month of Ramazan.
So you can see on the first day of Ramazan the fast began at 6.01 (official sunrise) and ended at 20.21 – a total of 14 hours and 20 minutes during which 'nothing must pass the lips' of the devout who are fasting.
By the final day, 29 August, the times are 6.24 and 19.47, so not quite such an ordeal as at the beginning.
And the blue line highlighting 26 August is there because that is the 'Night of Power' when God revealed the Koran to Muhamed.

You can learn a lot from a Ramazan calendar.
