Some weeks ago we reported the arrival of a baby camel in Kayaköy, the picturesque village near to Fethiye and Hisaronu. Now we have the photos.

She is called Boncuk and these photos were taken when she was 4 days old.

As you can see she is already trotting along with her elders.

And feeding at regular intervals.

Sharp-eyed readers may have noticed the anklet she is wearing above, designed to protect her from all kinds of evil.

Turkish speaking readers will know the Turkish for bead is also 'boncuk' and here is a close up of Boncuk's boncuk.

Oh and the proper name for a baby camel is a 'calf'.
