Book Review - The 8th Confession
Local book lover, Sue Dawson, selects a rip roaring murdery mystery from James Patterson for this edition of the Fethiye Times Book Review.

This is the 8th outing of the Women`s Murder Club – hence the title. The club consists of Detective Lindsey Boxer, Medical Examiner Claire Washburn, Assistant DA Yuki Castellano and reporter Cindy Thomas.
In this fast-paced thriller someone is bumping off the rich and the famous. (So I`m not in any danger then!) And no-one can work out how. No marks on the body. No evidence of poison. No signs of violence. In fact, nothing wrong with any of them – except they`re dead of course. Are these the perfect murders?
At the other end of the social scale, the murder of homeless bag-man Jesus is far from perfect. He`s been shot. And battered. More evidence than you can throw a stick at. But his murder is in danger of being forgotten in the media scrum surrounding the “celebrity murders”.
This is typical Patterson stuff. His short, sharp chapters and tight plotting really push the story along and, as usual, the plot twists and turns right to the very end. Enjoyable and well up to his usual standard.
