It’s still not too late to experience the magic of the Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival.

It’s still not too late to experience the magic of the Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival. This year is the 13th annual Festival held in the incredible 2000-year-old ampitheatre at Aspendos (about 25 miles east of Antalya on main coast road – well signed). All performances cost 10YTL for Turkish citizens and 25YTL for foreigners (compare that to a seat in Covent Garden). Take a cushion as you’ll be sitting on the stone tiers.

All performances start at 9.30pm so you’ll need a hotel, but that won’t be a problem in this year of reduced tourist numbers. On your way home the next day call in at nearby Manavgat and visit the waterfalls.
