Things to Do
Top things to do on holidays in and around Fethiye
Whether you want to spend your holiday in Fethiye shopping, partying, relaxing, sightseeing or a mixture of them all, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in the region.

To make it easier to decide how best to spend your Fethiye holiday, here’s the top things to do to make your Turkey holiday one to remember.
For the adventurous
Although the whole area is especially well suited to water sports, with beautiful coastlines and warm seas, Oludeniz is famed for its spectacular paragliding opportunities.
Sail the thermals from the top of Babadag Mountain and land on Olu Deniz beach, whilst admiring breathtaking views on your way down. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For Water Lovers
Take a boat trip direct from the sandy beach or go over the Fethiye and see the area from the sea.
Move around to Gemiler Island and you can take part in water skiing, donuts and more from the local water sports vendors.
Or move over the Gocek and hire a yacht for the day and sail in style in one of the most beautiful sailing play grounds in the world. Marvel at the super yachts and brush shoulders with celebrities.
For the more adventurous types, white water rafting is a must.
The Dalaman River is the region’s hotspot for the sport, located a mere hour away from Fethiye. Expect to get wet, as you can get involved even if you’ve never rafted before on 12 km of gorgeous waterway.
See Some Nature, See Some Ancient Culture
If you fancy a calmer form of fun on your Fethiye holiday, Saklikent Gorge offers all the beauty and splendour of Turkey’s natural water features without such an adrenaline rush.
A minibus makes for easy transport from Fethiye. Once there, walk, swim and scramble through the amazing gorge before stopping off for lunch at one of the many tea houses built over the river.
And while you are in the area make sure you go and see the ancient sites at Tlos, Xanthos and Patara and be amazed at the history this area has experienced over the centuries.
Relaxing and Shop in Style
Fethiye’s market is one of the shopping wonders of the world! From ‘genuine fakes’ to authentic local produce, there’s something for everyone to try and to buy, just don’t forget to haggle!
The big market takes place every Tuesday and a smaller Farmers market every Friday all year around.
So, however you want to spend your time on holidays in Fethiye, it’s impossible to be bored!
