As regular readers know we don’t often recommend restaurants or bars.

Why? Because, how are you to know whether or not we’ve been paid to do so, even if only with free food and drink. 

Well here is an exception. 

We recently ate the Sunday Carvery lunch at Kale Park, paid our bill, and couldn’t wait to get home and recommend it to you all. 

Not only is the price an amazing bargain, but the food was delicious and the service impeccable (The waiters waited for all of us to finish before clearing our plates! Pretty much a first for Fethiye.)

For a mere 15YTL you get a three course meal with, unbelievably, the first alcoholic drink thrown in too.

We had a choice of starters (vegetable soup or garlic mushrooms when we were there);

The main course consisted of the traditional British Sunday roast - roast beef, lamb, turkey with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, sprouts, leek and mushroom sauce and gravy.  All served piping hot onto hot plates with the chef carving.  (I may have missed the odd vegetable, there were so many, but you get the idea). 

Then a choice of pudding (rice pudding or bread and butter pudding in our case) and, unbelievably, your first drink is also included in the set 15YTL fee.

So why not treat yourselves to a Sunday lunch to remember with glorious views of Fethiye – Kale Park is next to the Castle on the old road to Kaya.
