The new ski resort in Seki, Fethiye could be opened as early as next year following the signing of a build- operate contract for the important infrastructure.

The Mugla governor, Dr. Altıparmak, announced recently that he had let a five-year contract for the first 700m ski lift to be built, operated and maintained at the Seki Ski Resort.

It is planned that the resort could be open for skiing in 2010.

The construction of the skiing facilities has been underway for ten years.
